International workshop “Molecular mechanisms of aging and aging-related diseases” will be held on 9th – 12th October, 2015, at the MIPT (Dolgoprudny, Russia) with the support of Project 5-100.
The aim of the workshop is to discuss the key achievements in the various fields of research, concerned with the study of the molecular mechanisms of aging and aging-related diseases, such as neurodegenerative (first of all, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s) and cardiovascular diseases, and cancer as well. These diseases are the main cause of mortality in developed countries, but significant breakthroughs in understanding of the exact mechanisms of their pathological processes have not happened so far. Cellular senescence is suggested to be the main reason of these processes. Nevertheless, even if these diseases are absent, the cellular senescence almost always leads to the significant deterioration in quality of life with age. That is why the determination of molecular mechanisms of aging is the very important step towards increasing the healthy life.
During the event, recognized experts in the field from Russia, USA, Germany and France will deliver the open lectures.
