Human aging-associated gene editing (HAGE) project

Using CAS9 or TALEN-mediated gene editing technique, we aim to edit (knockout or knockin) all known aging-associated genes as well as the new genes identified in Project (2), in human stem cells and/or their differentiation derivatives. This project will result in a systematic understanding of the roles of ”human-specific” aging-regulatory pathways in various human stem cells and terminally differentiated human cell types.
