Health Benefits Industry Veteran Chris Covill Joins Accolade

Accolade, the market-leading consumer health engagement and influence platform for large employers and payers, today announced that Chris Covill, a seasoned health and benefits strategist, has joined the company as executive vice president of Strategic Partnerships.

In this new role, Chris will lead Accolade’s large employer solution strategy, building partnerships with the benefits consultants they trust to shape their benefits design and guide their innovation strategies. He’ll also be responsible for partnering with leading health management and technology companies to integrate innovative tools and point solutions into Accolade’s consumer engagement and influence platform.

Chris joins the company with more than 30 years of experience and P&L responsibility in the employee benefits industry, including nine years with Mercer and its holding company, Marsh & McLennan Cos. He most recently was partner and North America sales leader for Mercer Health & Benefits. During his tenure at Mercer, Chris also served as the national product solutions leader for Health & Benefits, spearheading the U.S. private exchange product strategy for the Mercer Marketplace. Prior to Mercer, Chris was president and chief executive officer of Aflac Benefits Solutions — a subsidiary of Aflac — focused on providing dedicated and specialized services to the nation’s largest brokerage firms.

Chris earned his BA from Ithaca College in New York and resides in Marietta, Ga., with his family.
